How To Get Through Trouble…

I love to read novels. Political thrillers are my favorite. In these stories it is common for special trained agents to risk life and limb for the service of their country. These heros are constantly placed in life threatening situations to accomplish perilous assignments. As I read through their trouble, I’m tempted to peek ahead in the book to find out what happens. Sometimes I do.  Continue reading “How To Get Through Trouble…”

How America Becomes Great Again…

Posted a year ago…

For most of my lifetime I considered my country a great nation. The greatest really. It’s achievements are unprecedented.

In politics, our Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights are a cornerstone to modern-day democracy.

In science we have landed men on the moon and returned them safely. In medicine we have developed vaccines for polio, yellow fever and Hepatitis B. Continue reading “How America Becomes Great Again…”

How To Find My Miracle…

Who needs a miracle?

Yesterday that question was posed at my church and 70% of the congregation raised their hand. My wife and I were part of that number. So, who doesn’t require a miracle? I mean if when asked, 70% of approximately 300 answers in the affirmative, that tells me that you, the reader, have a 7 in 10 chance of wanting, if not needing a miracle. Would Persecution Help The American Church?

Published a year ago, thought I would re-post as I have other projects I’m working…

Imagine that the President of the United States proclaimed he will end Christianity in America. That he has the full support of Congress and The Supreme Court.

That laws were quickly passed against sharing the gospel. That possessing a Bible is a crime. Continue reading “Would Persecution Help The American Church?”

Mud in My Eyes…

What am I doing here? On the best day of my life I’m standing in the Temple being interrogated by these Jewish leaders. What do they have against my miracle? They ask the same questions over and over!

Give credit to God. We know this man is an impostor.” (John‬ ‭9:24‬) Continue reading “Mud in My Eyes…”

A Storm Between Two Miracles…

Jesus is in a flux. The talk of Him replacing Herod did not sit well. We have been separated from the people and their talk of conspiracy.

It is late, but Jesus is insistent. “Go to the other side, now!”  Continue reading “A Storm Between Two Miracles…”

Two Small Fish…

We are back in Galilee after an eventful tour of Jerusalem and Judaea.  We have just crossed the Tiberias with thousands of people following.

Jesus has done many miracles along the way. The sick are healed, the blind see and the lame walk. It’s an everyday occurrence. Lepers leave their seclusion to seek out His healing power. He refuses no one. Continue reading “Two Small Fish…”

Do You Want To Get Well?

It’s a beautiful day in Jerusalem. We came down for the festival. People are celebrating in the streets, in the Inns and outside the Temple. But I am with Jesus.

At Bethesda, Jesus has forgone the celebrating and walks among the sick. It’s a horrific sight. The beggars and the lame, the blind and the gaunt, are all here by the pool, looking for healing.  Continue reading “Do You Want To Get Well?”

A “Come To Jesus” Moment…

IMG_0043

It’s been a whirlwind since the last time we were here. Following Jesus is quite eventful. Since the wedding feast, we have been to Passover in Jerusalem, through Samaria, and in Jesus’ home town of Capernaum. We baptized many near Salim, and now we are back to Cana.
